Partner Visa - Subclass 820/801

The Subclass 820/801 Visa is an onshore partner visa for people in Australia who are in a genuine relationship with an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. It allows the visa holder to live, work, and study in Australia while their Partner Visa application is processed. You will lodge a combined application at your lodgment, you will be granted an 820 temporary visa; then, after two years from the visa application date, you will be requested to provide additional evidence to prove your relationship with your partner. Then, you will be granted an 801 permanent residency visa.


Partner Visa - Subclass 309/100

The Subclass 309/100 visa is a permanent partner visa for people in a genuine and ongoing relationship with an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. This allows the visa holder to live, work, and study in Australia indefinitely. To apply for this visa, the applicant needs to be offshore when the application is lodged and you apply for the temporary and the permanent partner visas together. You will be granted a 309 temporary visa. Then, after two years from the visa application date, you will be requested to provide additional evidence to prove your genuine relationship with your partner. Then, you will be granted a 100 permanent residency visa.


Parent Visa - Subclass 103 / Contributory Parent Visa - Subclass 143

The Subclass 103 and 143 Parent Visa are permanent residency visas that allows parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia permanently. To qualify, the applicant must be outside of Australia when they apply and meet the Balance of Family Test, which means at least half of their children must be live in Australia as permanent residents or citizens. It is very clear from the name Subclass 143 visa needs the parents to pay the contribution in order to get this visa. Currently, the queue time for Subclass 103 is over decade. But the queue time for Subclass 143 is much shorter compared to Subclass 103 visa. Both visas need to be offshore when the applicants are lodging for their visa application.


Aged Parent Visa - Subclass 804/ Contributory Aged Parent Visa - Subclass 864

Subclass 804 and 864 Parent Visa are permanent residency visas that allows parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia permanently. To qualify, the applicant needs to meet the Australian pension age, they must be in Australia when they apply, and meet the Balance of Family Test, which means at least half of their children must live in Australia as permanent residents or citizens. It is very clear from the name Subclass 864 visa needs the parents to pay the contribution fee in order to get this visa. Currently, the queue time for Subclass 804 is over a decade. However the queue time for Subclass 143 is much shorter compared to Subclass 864 visa. Both visas need to be offshore when the applicants are lodging for their visa application.
