This visa requires a commitment to live and work in the nominating state or territory for a certain period.


Skilled Nomination Visa - Subclass 491

The Subclass 491 – Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa is a temporary visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government. It allows the visa holder to live and work in a designated regional area of Australia for 5 years. Applicants must have skills in an occupation listed on the relevant skilled occupation list and meet points-based criteria. This visa requires a commitment to live and work in the nominating state or territory for a certain period.

Holders of this visa can apply for permanent residency (Subclass 191 visa) after three years if they meet eligibility criteria, such as living and working in the designated regional area.
